If your child is having difficulty with
a, settling into school
b, being separated from you
or c, having a rough time at school, in their after school activities or sports activities then this may be a useful tip for you….
1, When relaxed with your child ask them to look at your face. Have a genuine smile on your face.
2,Tell them you are going to teach them to take a photograph without a camera or a smartphone …
3, Get them to look at your Face for about three seconds…
4, Then either put you in front of their eyes or ask them to shut their eyes and see if they can see the picture of you and your smiling face inside their forehead….
5, Repeat the process with a shorter viewing time of just two seconds … making a game out of the activity
6, Repeat the process with a shorter viewing time of just one second … making a game out of the activity again
7, once your child can visualise your smiling face inside their head and keep it there tell Them that any time that they need you you will be there.
8, Explain that all they have to do is look up towards their forehead and you will be there inside looking after them and telling them how wonderful they are.
